1. About Paws & Pearls
Paws & Pearls is a small, independently operated South African couture atelier specialising in one-of-a-kind garments for toy and very small dogs.
Every creation is individually designed and made, with particular attention to craftsmanship, proportion, comfort and detail.
These Terms & Conditions explain the arrangements governing purchases made through Paws & Pearls.
By placing an order, you agree to the applicable purchasing terms, subject to your rights under South African consumer legislation.
2. One-of-a-Kind Creations
Every Paws & Pearls creation is a singular piece of couture. Its exact design is made only once and will not be reproduced.
Much like an original artwork, each creation has its own combination of fabrics, materials, embellishments and craftsmanship.
Some materials may be individually sourced, limited in availability or impossible to obtain again.
For this reason, identical replacements cannot be guaranteed, and repairs depend on the nature of the garment and the availability of suitable materials.
Paws & Pearls does not offer made-to-measure commissions or alterations.
3. Product Information
Each creation is presented with photographs, individual garment measurements, its exact measured weight and a description of its principal materials, construction and decorative details.
As a creation may contain numerous fabrics, fibres and embellishments, material descriptions may focus on the principal and distinctive components rather than provide an exhaustive inventory of every element.
We aim to represent each creation as accurately as possible. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on individual screen settings.
Customers are encouraged to review the information accompanying each creation before purchasing.
4. Sizing and Suitability
Before proceeding with a purchase, prospective buyers may be asked to provide their dog's measurements, weight, photographs and information about any relevant health concerns or physical limitations.
This information allows Paws & Pearls to undertake a preliminary assessment of obvious fit or suitability concerns.
Such assessments do not guarantee a perfect fit and do not constitute veterinary advice.

5. Availability and Orders
Each creation is available as a single, individual piece.
Once a creation has been purchased, it is no longer available for sale.
Submitting an enquiry or requesting a preliminary suitability assessment does not constitute a reservation.
An order is subject to confirmation of availability, any required suitability assessment and successful completion of the agreed payment process.
Should a creation become unavailable before an order can be fulfilled, the customer will be informed and any payment already received for that creation will be refunded.
6. Prices and Payment
The price displayed for each creation is its individual selling price.
Standard delivery within South Africa is included in the garment price.
Payment arrangements and available payment methods will be communicated during the purchasing process.
Purchases are processed through the payment services provided on our Shopify website, or through arrangements expressly agreed upon for an individual international purchase.
Any applicable additional charges must be communicated before the purchase is finalised.
7. Shipping and Delivery
Paws & Pearls ordinarily uses The Courier Guy for deliveries within South Africa.
Where exceptional circumstances make another delivery service more appropriate, the arrangements will be discussed with the buyer.
Every creation is carefully packaged to protect its fabrics, construction and delicate decorative details.
Tracking information will be provided after dispatch, where available.
Dispatch and delivery arrangements will be communicated in accordance with the applicable order details and legal requirements.

8. International Purchases
International purchases are considered individually.
Because Paws & Pearls creates small collections of one-of-a-kind couture, international payment and shipping arrangements are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Shipping methods, costs, payment arrangements and any applicable customs considerations will be discussed and agreed upon before a purchase is finalised.
9. Garment Care and Use
Paws & Pearls creations may incorporate delicate fabrics, specialised construction and decorative embellishments.
Each creation is accompanied by its own garment care instruction card, providing guidance appropriate to its particular materials and construction.
Some embellishments may be detachable, while others are permanently attached. The individual care card will indicate any relevant requirements.
Customers should follow the instructions supplied with their creation.
Pet owners are responsible for the safe and appropriate use of garments on their pets. This includes ensuring that garments are worn correctly, monitoring their pet's comfort and movement, and discontinuing use if the garment causes discomfort or restriction.
Any integrated leash attachment will be identified in the individual creation description; not every garment includes one.

10. Cancellations, Returns and Repairs
Purchases are subject to our Returns & Exchanges Policy and applicable South African consumer legislation.
Customers have the cancellation, return and refund rights provided by law.
Because each creation is unique, an identical replacement is not possible, and repairs cannot be guaranteed.
Where a creation is defective, the matter will be addressed in accordance with applicable consumer rights, including the provision of a refund where required or chosen under the law.

11. Privacy and Personal Information
Paws & Pearls respects the privacy of its customers and handles personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and other applicable legislation.

Customer-submitted photographs will not be used for promotional purposes without separate permission.

12. Website Content and Creative Work
The designs, photographs, illustrations, animation, original written material and other creative content belonging to Paws & Pearls form part of the House's creative identity.
Such material may not be reproduced, distributed or used commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.
The purchase of a garment does not transfer intellectual property rights in its design or associated creative material.
13. Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the operation of Paws & Pearls or applicable legislation.
The current version will be available on our website.
Any changes will not retrospectively remove rights or alter obligations under an already concluded purchase agreement without a lawful basis.
